take that and rewind it back

it's the big 2-9 people, not the big 3-0, as *some* people would like you to believe.

after a late night of who-knows-what, matthew drug himself out of bed early so that he could call and be one of the first people to wish a me happy birthday this morning. i was in the shower so he left me a voicemail; he sounded all sleepy and groggy - it was so sweet!

when i got to work, kala, jayme and laura had decorated my whole office - it was GREAT! i was so excited that i forgot to check my calendar for meetings and ended up being really late for a tour. :(

THEN kala treated me to lunch, and jayme and nancy came along too. my friends manoj and sonia, cousin darrin, aunt cindy and mom have all called to wish me a good day.

this birthday is going to be puuuurrrrfect.

long & wild

matthew and i went to dallas this past weekend. we saw some unexpected animals in the city, heard a few bands, and visited with friends. it was a good time.

my job hunt has officially begun. i need a job in denver by august 1! anyone have connections in denver? i thought about being a ski bum, but that won't pay the bills. besides, if i became a ski bum then i'd have to have ski bum friends and start smoking pot and get a big dog that rides with me in a beat-up pickup truck everywhere i go. i'd have to give up things like mascara and lip gloss, and i'd have to grow my hair long and wild.

hhmm. maybe i will become a ski bum.

i accidentally erased all the comments you people left when i changed my template. shoooooot. but this new template says "amy" much more than the other one, doesn't it?

in case you're wondering about that french exam i took, i didn't get the score i needed to earn the credit hours. (son of a...) instead i'm taking FREN 5341 in summer session I at tech. so i'll work 40 hours a week, take class 10 hours a week and study at least 10 hours a week. when do i get to hang out by the pool? how am i supposed to get a tan? this sucks.
